Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules that apply to everyone who uses Oriva. It is incorporated into the Terms of Use. Breaching this AUP may result in content removal, account suspension, account termination, or referral to law enforcement.

1. Prohibited content

You must not upload, share, or link to content that:

• is unlawful, or promotes or facilitates unlawful activity;
• sexually exploits or endangers children, including any child sexual abuse material (CSAM); we report CSAM to the relevant authorities;
• harasses, threatens, bullies, or intimidates any person;
• incites or promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality;
• infringes intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademarks, and rights of publicity;
• discloses another person's private information (including doxxing) without their consent;
• is fraudulent, deceptive, or designed to scam others;
• contains malware, viruses, or harmful code;
• is sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate for a general consumer platform;
• impersonates another person or organisation in a misleading way.

2. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• send spam or unsolicited messages;
• use Oriva to harass other users, including via public profiles or share cards;
• scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service (including public profiles and discovery surfaces) using automated tools, except as expressly permitted in writing;
• use bots, scripts, or other automated means to access or interact with the Service, other than search engine crawlers indexing public pages in accordance with our robots directives;
• attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise discover the source code of the Service except where permitted by law;
• probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or breach any security or authentication measures;
• attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorised to access, or circumvent row-level security, rate limits, or other access controls;
• misuse public profiles by mass-harvesting, stalking, surveilling, or building profiles of individuals;
• resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission;
• interfere with the operation of the Service or with other users' enjoyment of it.

3. Public profile responsibilities

If you make your profile public, you remain responsible for the content you publish. Public visibility does not grant any other user the right to harass, stalk, or commercially exploit you, and our prohibitions in this AUP apply equally to interactions with public profiles.

4. Security disclosures

If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to hello@deskjockeydigital.co.uk. Do not exploit the vulnerability, access data that is not yours, or disclose the issue publicly before we have had a reasonable opportunity to remediate it.

5. Reporting violations and blocking

The fastest way to flag content or behaviour that breaches this AUP is the in-app Report action available on every public profile and every memory: choose a reason, add optional detail, and submit. Reports are sent directly to our trust & safety queue and reviewed promptly. You can also blockany account from its public profile; blocked accounts are hidden from your Discover and feeds, and can be managed under Settings → Blocked accounts. Serious or urgent matters can additionally be emailed to hello@deskjockeydigital.co.uk. Submitting knowingly false or abusive reports is itself a breach of this AUP.

6. Copyright and IP takedowns

If you believe content on Oriva infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please email hello@deskjockeydigital.co.uk with: (a) identification of the work you claim has been infringed, (b) the location of the allegedly infringing material on Oriva, (c) your contact details, (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is unauthorised, (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder, and (f) your physical or electronic signature. We will respond to valid notices in accordance with applicable law.

7. Enforcement

Depending on the nature and seriousness of a breach, we may: issue a warning, remove or restrict content, restrict features of your account, suspend or terminate your account, and/or refer the matter to law enforcement or other authorities. We may take action without prior notice where we consider it necessary to protect the Service, our users, or third parties.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. We will update the "Effective" date above and, where changes are material, notify you in-app or by email.
